About Naveed

I’m Naveed, a software engineer who works on web and mobile applications. I like building focused, practical solutions that remove everyday friction and make useful tasks easier for people.

I built TextFixerr after seeing how often a simple copy-and-paste job turned into several minutes of manual cleanup. The words were usually correct, but the formatting around them was not. Fixing the same spaces, line breaks and invisible characters by hand was repetitive, easy to get wrong and especially frustrating with long documents.

The problems that led to this site

The recurring problems were specific:

  • PDF text arrived with a hard line break after every visual line, and sometimes words split by hyphens;
  • Word documents, web pages and emails brought extra spaces, tabs and trailing whitespace;
  • non-breaking spaces, zero-width characters and soft hyphens looked harmless but broke search, sorting or matching;
  • text pasted into forms, spreadsheets, databases or code needed plain quotes and predictable line endings;
  • HTML entities, tags and Markdown markers remained when only readable plain text was needed;
  • lists collected blank or duplicate lines that were slow to remove one at a time.

These problems come from real differences between document layouts, rich-text editors, web pages and plain text fields. They are small individually, but together they interrupt the work someone actually wants to finish. TextFixerr puts the common fixes in one predictable workflow and shows what changed. It cleans formatting without rewriting, paraphrasing or correcting the words.

What you can use it for

The Text Cleaner handles general cleanup, while the Remove Line Breaks tool gives more control over paragraphs and separators. You can use them to prepare copied text for:

  • emails, reports, notes and content-management systems;
  • spreadsheets, CSV preparation and database fields;
  • online forms that reject unusual spaces or punctuation;
  • plain-text files, code comments and documentation;
  • text copied from PDFs, Word, Google Docs, websites or chat tools.

The guides explain why each problem happens, where an automatic fix has limits and how to check the result.

Why the tools run in your browser

Text that needs cleaning is often text that should not be shared: a draft, a client email, an unpublished manuscript, a list of customer records. So the tools were built to work entirely on your device. The text you paste is not uploaded, and there is no server component that could receive it.

This also keeps the tools quick, because there is no round trip to wait for. How It Works describes exactly what is processed and what is stored.

Why the site stays focused

A text-utility site can easily grow into dozens of near-identical pages: a word counter, a case converter, a duplicate remover, each on its own address. That makes a site bigger without making it more useful, and it spreads attention thinly over many small tools.

Related cleanup steps live together as options inside one Text Cleaner, where they can run in a sensible order in a single pass. Line-break removal has its own page because it is needed often and benefits from modes the main tool would be cluttered by. Keeping the site focused makes each tool easier to understand, test and maintain.

How the tools are designed

  • The tool comes first. It is at the top of the page and usable immediately. Explanations come after it.
  • Cautious by default. The default preset only tidies whitespace. Anything that could change how text reads is something you switch on.
  • Predictable. Steps run in a fixed, documented order. The same input and options always give the same result.
  • Honest about limits. Joining PDF lines and rejoining hyphenated words are educated guesses, and the site says so wherever they appear.
  • No clutter. No pop-ups, no sign-up, no interruptions between you and the result.

Corrections and feedback

If a tool gives a wrong result, or a guide says something inaccurate or unclear, please report it through the contact page. A short example of the input and what you expected helps most. The editorial policy explains how guides are written and corrected.
